Q&A Learn about the locally based United States Wrestling Association in the morning panel to kick of WasabiCon 2016! Talk heroes, heels, and the industry as a whole with the folks behind this dynamic organization.

10:00 AM, Origin LARP Foam Sword Arena – FOAM SWORD ARENA
Ever find yourself at a con, between the panel you just watched and the next, 2 hours away? Or maybe the dwarf down the hall is taking forever repairing your hovercar? Origin has your answer. We wander the conventions of Florida helping Con-goers reach a heightened state of awesomeness through martial supremacy. There’ll be free water, some neat stuff to buy, and oh yeah, a foam fighting pit! Come join us for an immersive Dojo style experience where you are the fighter that people are cheering on in the last few seconds of a blistering battle of honed technique. All skill levels are welcome, and while we can’t promise you’ll leave a master, you’ll definitely get some good practice towards becoming one. Challenge your friends for bragging rights, or go one on one with a judge to test your abilities. (Room closes at 9:00 PM.)

10:00 AM, Sgt. Frog (Episodes 1-5) – VIEWING ROOM
TV-PG. Dubbed. Keroro is Sergeant Frog – the leader of a platoon of warriors sent to conquer planet Earth. But when the amphibious invaders discovered how much humans enjoy dissecting their comrades, the troops were scattered, the mission was aborted, and Keroro was abandoned. Now, this once proud soldier spends more time wielding a vacuum than he does the weapons of war. It’s a far cry from the glory of battle, but hey, at least he’s got his own room.

Rated 13 UP. Subbed. In the distant future, mankind has lived quietly and restlessly underground for hundreds of years, subject to earthquakes and cave-ins. Living in one such village are 2 young men: one named Simon who is shy and naïve, and the other named Kamina who believes in the existence of a “surface” world above their heads. The destiny of these two starts moving drastically when the ceiling of their village falls in, and a gigantic “Gunmen” and a beautiful girl named Yoko, wielding a superconductive rifle, come from the surface. Together, Kamina, Simon and Yoko ride the mecha “Lagann” that Simon digs out of the ground, and fly up to the surface!

6:00 PM, Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge (Movie) – VIEWING ROOM
TV-14. Dubbed. Originally released in 1991, the fifth Dragon Ball Z feature (a.k.a. Tobikkiri no Saikyou tai Saikyou–“Fantastic Ultimate Strength vs. Ultimate Strength”) involves the characters from the TV episodes, but in an unrelated continuity. Goku and Gohan set off on a camping trip with Krillin and Oolong, but their outing turns into a battle royal when they’re attacked by the minions of Cooler, Frieza’s older brother. Piccolo appears as a Nameck ex machina to aid Gohan, but the centerpiece of the film is the battle between Goku in his Super-Saiyan form and Cooler, who looks like a purple iguana in a football uniform.

Beerus, an ancient and powerful God of Destruction, searches for Goku after hearing rumors of the Saiyan warrior who defeated Frieza. Realizing the threat Beerus poses to their home planet, the Z Fighters must find a way to stop him before it’s too late. “Tentacle” Chris Duplis loves Christmas… so much so that he thinks about it all year long. In 2015, he started a personal mission to raise money and toys for Toys for Tots to help spread holiday cheer in Central Florida and raised almost $3500 in donations. Well, this year we’re helping him kick things off early by hosting a charity auction at the convention as he tries to DOUBLE THAT AMOUNT! (That’s right, folks: $7000.)
